but this time I have to agree with you. it does seem that most of the things that sony criticized microsoft for last year when the 360 launched they have gone back on:
multiple skus
$60 (US) games
Backwards comp
impossibility of a worldwide launch (which both nindy and m$ did)
there are somemore... like charging for online service... but we will see whether or not they do that.
I'm very dissapointed in how Sony is handling t...
most of those pictures are captures from the vidoc.. they are legit.. just not that new
i'm so excited for this game now... this is going to bring back so many memories!!
i might have to head over to best buy this week... there are a ton of games on that list that i'd want to pick up..
look, crysis and other pc games that come out this year that utilize dx10 are going to start destroying what you can see on consoles (even the ps3) and a lot of the footage from last years E3 that was so good then just doesn't impress as much any more.
I'm not saying it is not impressive... it definitely looks really good... it just doesn't hold the wow factor any more. the art style is nice, but not great, and the animations are really good. I'm just not terribly sure abou...
this game is looking a little bit better than the last time i saw it. The graphics are ok(lots of spells and stuff going on) but the framerate looked silky smooth and the animations look good. It might be a lot of fun to play.
yea, i'm wondering about the coin(s) thing... but you know how SFHF2 had the quarter battles?? maybe this is similar to that. Anyhow, this would be awesome.
but some of the new screenshots for both consoles for upcoming "mega hit games" are no longer holding that wow effect for me. I see jaggies and I see low res textures and i see low polygon counts (check one of the dudes hands... it like a brick) and i see really poor anisotropic filtering... I think I'm getting spoiled by games like gears of war and screenies of crysis... its gonna take more and more to impress me...
in order to sell out... doesn't the IP have to be independent and small first?? so... i guess halo:CE was a small little underrecognized title that no one but the most hardcore fans ever played???
uh huuh... paint me unimpressed
i am in total agreement with you... i've got lost planet, enchanted arms, table tennis, and viva pinata all sitting on the back burner while i play crackdown... i didn't think it was possible to be upset with a console because you have too many games to play... march is going to destroy me... or no games will get finished at all... 1500 achievement points by april is going to be super easy
if i get about 20 hours of play from a game then i haven't completely wssted the 60 dollars... and that exctly whats happening with crackdown...
doesn't the system have to sell more than 2 million units before the game can? especially since it is only in japan right now (where less than 1 million units have been sold) But maybe Koei means to make it multiplatform... that would increase sales.
i'm getting so excited for halo 3... just got crackdown (awesome game btw) and when i went to the downloads screen there was a link (not activated of course) for the halo 3 multiplayer beta launcher... i literally got a shiver of joy! Anyhow, the description of the graphics reaffirms what i think happened with the pre-alpha shots, they didn't add in a lot of the HDR and post processing effects that will be present in the final version. This means that the E3 target render will probably be w...
i'll give this an approval if the title and the description are toned down abit...
i've heard that they are trying to do a world wide release... it was just dated for japan but namco (is it namco?) is trying to have the localized versions ready for release as well.
I really like the art direction in this game... and I'm happy that some games still have tons of color in them.
The problem stems from the fact that macintosh deliberately puts hardware measures within their computers that downgrade the performance of windows on mac computers. From people i've talked to who have put windows on a mac computer, there are many applications that don't run and the whole thing runs very slow. The problem stems from the lack of drivers and APIs that the mac hardware can support and then there is the fact that vista itself is demanding on the hardware and probably wouldn't s...
i love hearing the spin from both sides... both microsoft and sony both claim to have been extremely successful in january, but really only nintendo can say that they were truly successful. The wii and ds have sold an incredible number of units... the 360 did well for the month of january (seeing as demand is not nearly as high for it as the wii) but it would have been better for microsoft if lost planet had sold some more units. Their best month will come sometime this spring when they fi...
juevani, you need to calm down... this shouldn't be that kind of forum... what happened to this guy is sad, but to insult another news4gamer user is just downright pathetic... we all know you don't like 360, but cursing is inappropriate.
i feel bad for this guy... unfortunately i've never had the displeasure of a failed 360... in fact i just sold my first one to a friend and replaced my console (for one with a new disk drive)... so now two people are enjoying consoles. From my days working at EB games I noticed that certain people seemed to have a rash of bad luck with 360s while other people never experience a problem.
this guys deserves to be helped out by microsoft... but i guess some people just have bad...
I think it is funny that people are saying that this game sucks and giving no reason... the only conclusion is that they are speaking without having played the game. The game is awesome and perhaps it took the halo 3 beta invite to coax people into buying it, but the game will be a success in its own right... The co-op is fantastic and the gameplay is superbly addicting. If you don't like it, i'd love to hear why.. but give a better reason than "the graphics are retarded" because...
